Luxury car rental in Zurich with Zeus Prestige meets you where you arrive: Zurich Airport (ZRH), your hotel, or a private address in town. Rent or hire a luxury SUV, an exotic, a supercar or a sports car and see Switzerland from behind the wheel. Luxury car hire and exotic car rental in Zurich start on the lakeshore, with an Alpine pass and its racing past little more than an hour away.
The Romans called it Turicum. The twin towers of the Grossmünster mark the church where Zwingli began the Swiss Reformation in 1519, and across the river Limmat the Fraumünster holds five stained-glass windows by Chagall. St Peter's carries the largest church clock face in Europe. Bahnhofstrasse runs from the station to the lake, lined with banks, watchmakers and chocolatiers, and on the Lindenhof hill above it chess is played under the lime trees.
Zurich is at its best beside the water. In summer the city swims, in the lake and the river, at wooden bathing houses that become bars after dark. In winter it is veal in cream sauce with rösti in a panelled dining room, and the lights along Bahnhofstrasse. From the Uetliberg, the hill at the city's back, you see the whole lake and, beyond it, the Alps in a long white line. They are closer than they look.
Take the roof down and follow the eastern shore. The lake road runs southeast from the city along the Goldküste, the sunny bank, through Küsnacht and Meilen, with vineyards on the slope above and moorings below. Rapperswil is about 30 kilometres on, a medieval town with a castle on its hill and rose gardens beneath it. The air comes fresh off the water, and on a bright day the snow peaks ahead give you a small jolt each time they swing into view. Have lunch on the harbour, then cross the causeway and return along the western shore. The car spends the whole day beside the lake, at a pace that suits an open roof.
Come in summer with a supercar or a sports car, because the pass closes for the winter. From Linthal, about an hour and a quarter from Zurich, the road climbs to the Urnerboden, the largest alpine pasture in Switzerland, and on to the Klausen Pass at 1,948 metres. In the 1920s and 1930s this was the course of the Klausenrennen, among the hardest hill climbs in Europe, run on gravel. Today it is tarmac, 46 kilometres from Linthal to Altdorf, with cowbells on the plateau and hairpins on either side. Your heart rate rises with the road and stays up on the descent through the Schächen valley. From Altdorf the motorway brings you back to Zurich. A car with strong brakes and a willing engine earns every kilometre.
For Lucerne, choose comfort: a luxury SUV or a grand touring car. The motorway reaches it in under an hour: a small city on its own lake, with the covered Chapel Bridge, first built in the 14th century, crossing the river at an angle. Continue along the north shore through Weggis and Vitznau, where the Rigi rises straight from the water and paddle steamers call at the piers. The road is quiet and the views are long. The cabin is calm, the leather cool to the touch, and the suspension smooths the lakeside bends. The car returns to Zurich in the evening as easily as it left.
Yes. Zeus Prestige delivers luxury hire cars to Zurich Airport (ZRH), and to hotels and addresses in the city and around the lake. Tell us when you land and we will be waiting.
Yes. Private flights at Zurich Airport (IATA: ZRH, ICAO: LSZH) are handled at its General Aviation Centre. Your self-drive hire car is delivered there, timed to your landing.
Choose a luxury SUV for winter and the roads to the ski resorts, an exotic or a sports car for the Alpine passes from late spring to autumn, and a convertible for the lakeshore in summer.
Davos is about two hours from Zurich and Gstaad about two and a half. St. Moritz and Verbier are each around three hours. Allow longer in snow.
The airport is about 13 kilometres north of the centre, usually 15 to 25 minutes by car.
Yes. Lucerne and Basel are each about an hour away, and the Rhine Falls 45 minutes. Geneva is around three hours west, and Munich and Milan are each about three and a half.
Choose from our exotics, sports cars, SUVs and supercars, tell us where in Zurich you would like the car, and the keys will be ready for your luxury car hire.
